Nipple shields are held in place by piercing jewelry.
Shields function best with a straight barbell or a simple straight post. They
can be worn with other jewelry (circular barbells, curved barbells or rings),
but the piercing jewelry tends to stick out. Something which doesn't happen
with straight jewelry. The best way to determine the size of jewelry you may
want is by the INT. DIA.. The INT. DIA. should be slightly larger than the
width of your piercing itself; ie. The entrance and exit holes of your piercing.
Also keep in mind that these items are hand cast and polished. Because of
this there will be slight variations in sizes from one piece to the next.
